Ordination
Seeking Ordinations
We want to provide ordination to those who have a calling to serve. As
Christ asked the fisherman to drop their nets and follow, we ask no more.
If you are committed to
serving the hearts and minds of humanity, following the guidance and Love
of God as revealed to your personally, and you feel called to serve, then
providing you with credentials is a
contribution we can make towards opening doors for your ministry work.
Whether you ministry is to be
in:
-
congregational leadership
-
officiating weddings, funerals,
and baptisms
-
pastoral counseling
-
outreach to the poor
or one of the many others
areas of religious leadership, seeking your credentials through Street
Bishops gives you a home, a connection, and assistance. We will
remove all roadblocks to your ordination.
What becomes a challenge for
us as organization is deciding on what the process should and can be for
bringing someone into the association as a clergy. If our goal is to
remove roadblocks, we can do that. But as well it is our duty to ensure
that you have made a commitment to yourself and to us. So how do we
measure that commitment?
Ministry Approach
Our approach to this is to
encourage you to engage in thoughtful, prayerful activities that, when
completed, will help set the footprint for your ministry. If you are
already engaged in ministry or missions work, then the tasks we will set
before you can only help to further your work.
If you complete what we ask of
you then not only will be want to offer ordination to you, but hope you
will join us as we reach out to assist others in their desire to serve.
Receiving Ordination
In order to receive
ordination, or appointment, we ask that you subscribe to our
Ministry Building & Growth
Program
and, after being in the program for 60 days, you will automatically
receive
a letter of appointment. Then, if you choose, you can request a color
certificate, id card, etc for a small administrative fee.
